Preparation of the follow-up survey of the impact evaluation of the Paternity Program P

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) seeks to contribute to strengthening public policies for violence prevention through the generation of evidence on the effectiveness of an Active Parenting Program that seeks to reduce risk factors and reinforce protective factors associated with violence against children and women. Under this guideline, the impact evaluation of the program seeks to identify the effect on:

Attitudes regarding the role of men and women in the couple, family and society.
Knowledge and attitudes of parental practices.
Quality of the communication of the couple.
Distribution of care and domestic tasks.
Discipline practices with children.
Intimate partner violence prevalence.
Cognitive development of the child (application of the ASQ test).
Stress levels in fathers and mothers (analysis of cortisol level using saliva samples).
In this sense, the Center for the Generation of Information and Statistics (CEGIE) of the UPB, was invited to carry out the survey to follow up on the impact evaluation of Program P.
