STUDY OF LABOR DYNAMICS IN INTERMEDIATE AND SMALL CITIES OF BOLIVIA

The Swiss Cooperation in Bolivia has defined to initiate a process of information generation destined to the elaboration of a new project focused on professional technical training. The new project will seek to contribute to improving the human capacities and job opportunities of young people and adults, with the aim of increasing their income and improving productivity.

In this sense, with the financing and technical support of the Swiss Cooperation in Bolivia, the CEGIE conducts an information survey and the Study of Labor Dynamics in Intermediate and Small Cities of Bolivia, which allows generating relevant information to better understand the challenges to be answered.

This study is aimed at understanding the behavior of labor demand and will be carried out through surveys directed at different productive and labor actors. This study is coordinated with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), which for the past three years has been carrying out a labor demand survey in the central axis of the country. This survey has generated valuable information on the productive and labor sectors in the capital cities of the central axis, which is extensible to other highly populated capital cities in the country. The study to be carried out by SDC seeks to complement the aforementioned survey so that data from intermediate and small cities can be aggregated to achieve a global understanding of labor demand in Bolivia.
