CIPI participates in the XXVII Inter-American and Colombian Engineering Congress

The Director of the Industrial Processes Research Center Ramiro Escalera Ph. D. presented the results of the study “MINIMIZATION OF CHROME RESIDUES IN THE SKIN TANNING”, at the XXVII Inter-American and Colombian Congress of Engineering held at the Convention Center of the city ​​of Cartagena de Indias, Colombia Chemical between October 6 and 8 of this year.

The study managed to develop in the laboratory a recycling process for residual liquors from pickling and leather tanning processes that was applied and validated in a Cochabamba tannery, demonstrating significant savings in the consumption of water and chemical reagents, without observing any deterioration. in the quality of the finished skins.
