Consulting project to simplify construction procedures for the Cochabamba municipal government
The Bolivian Private University has awarded a project to various Mayors of the country, among the Cercado Mayors in Cochabamba, this project was called Simplification of Documents, which consists of eliminating much of the bureaucratic part in the approval of the documents required to start the process of construction, but also meet other technical requirements that were not being specific.
After what happened in the city of Santa Cruz with the Malaga building, I have seen the need to demand greater rigor in the construction process and in the calculation of buildings. In this sense, the UPB Consulting Department has requested help from CIMOC where Dr. Francisco Aguirre is as an independent consultant in charge of establishing various levels of control. The levels of control that were constantly imposed on a list of documents that must be determined in the structural calculation with its instructive instructions, new plan formats and a new type of obligatory carimbo, document preparation and inspection processes in its different stages, etc.
The first stage is now complete, a few details remain to be established. The community of engineers and architects related to the construction process have adopted more responsible positions, in this sense there are several meetings and round tables with various technical and scientific entities to implement and discuss these new provisions.
