German Gonzales has a PhD in Civil Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He has a master's degree in Sanitary and Environmental Engineering from the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés, and is a specialist in Sanitary and Environmental Engineering with a diploma in Road and Environmental Auditing. He is a Civil Engineer from the Technical University of Oruro. He is currently the Academic Director of Graduate Studies at the School of Engineering and Technology in La Paz. He is a manager and creator of postgraduate academic projects for diploma and master's programs in different engineering areas. He is a full-time lecturer in several subjects in the field of Civil Engineering, Road and Bridge Design and Supervision, Foundation Engineering, Soil Mechanics 1 and 2, Shallow and Deep Foundations, Road Geotechnics and Soil Improvement, Slope Stabilization and Protection, Rock Mechanics, Project Management, Control and Supervision of Construction Projects according to PMI, Applied Technology in Geotechnics, and Soil Studies for Civil Construction. He also works in foundation analysis and rehabilitation, real estate development projects, and soft skills for construction. Specialist with more than 25 years of experience in the field of civil engineering, in design projects, supervision, and construction of road works, real estate development projects, civil infrastructure works, and geotechnical works. Experience in different consulting and construction projects has given him clear and up-to-date knowledge, which is further strengthened by new trends, new technologies, and updated research that he shares through teaching.
