Alex Villazón has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Geneva (Switzerland). He completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at that university, earning an MSc. in Computer Science. He has done postdoctoral work at the University of Innsbruck (Austria) and at the University of Lugano (Switzerland). He is a Full Professor and Director of the CINTI Research Center. He has published more than 100 scientific articles and is one of Bolivia's most cited researchers. He has won several Plurinational Science and Technology Awards and is co-author of Bolivia's first technology patent. He is currently Dean of Research in Engineering and Architecture.
