Luis Alejandro Romero-Soto, a Chemical Engineer from Universidad Mayor San Andrés and holder of a PhD in Biotechnology Engineering from Lund University in Sweden, represented Bolivia at Falling Walls 2020 in Berlin. He was selected among 15 global finalists for Innovation Week 2020 in Germany and trained by Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. In 2023, he was invited to the Science and Research Workshop in Germany as a Distinguished South American Scientist. Romero-Soto has stood out in science outreach at international events such as the Global Bioeconomy Summit and TEDx. He is currently a researcher in Biorefinery at Inland Norway University and a professor at UPB.
