He worked between 2003 and 2008 in the Project Management Department of the spanish engineering consultant Eductrade. During this period, he worked in projects in Cochabamba, Quito and Madrid. In particular, he was appointed to the deployment of a VSAT network for Internet access in Ecuador. From 2009 to 2015 he worked as Research Assistant in the Department of Signals, Systems and Radiocommunications at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He was involved in propagation experiments using Ka-Sat and Alphasat satellites., as well as in research projects funded by Spanish government and ESA (European Space Agency). His PhD thesis was developed in the frame of the Terasense project, where he studied atmospheric propagation at sub-mm frequencies using radiosondes and radiometry.
From 2015 to 2017 he was with the Bolivian Space Agency, first as Ground Segment Engineer and then as Engineering Project Coordinator. His main achievements were the creation of the Training Program on Satellite Communications, in collaboration with the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (Bolivia), and also the deployment of a ground receiver station for receiving meteorological images at the Amachuma Control Station.
Since 2017 to present, Dr. Siles is working at the Universidad Privada Boliviana as Researcher and Associate Professor, and from 2019 is Head of the Radiocommunications Laboratory.
