Welcome from the Vice Chancellor for Research

Receive the warmest welcome to the page of the Vice-Rectorate for Research of the UPB. On this page you will find, in a very concise and summarized way, information relating mainly to researchers and research projects carried out since the creation of the Vice-Rectorate in 2003. Under the premise that “a university is not a true university if it does not participate in knowledge generation processes ”, the Vice-Rector's Office was created to carry out research processes under international standards, seeking to influence the University's teaching-learning processes through formative and applied research, also in the development of the country by the relevance of its projects, and in the internationalization of the UPB thanks to publications in indexed journals and participation in international congresses refereed by our researchers. In this effort, the Vice-Rectorate has been able to form a select group of Bolivian researchers, who have participated in the research training of our students, executing projects of national interest and representing our country in international conferences. We are sure that the page you visit will attest to the achievements mentioned.
