
Juan Cabrera holds a PhD in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Université de Liège (Belgium), with postdoctoral experience in mobility, informality, and urban governance in Europe and Latin America. University professor and researcher with more than 20 years of experience in urban planning, territorial planning, land policy, management, and self-managed urban services. Member of international networks such as UrbesLab, GTU-CLACSO, LINCOLN Institute, and regional academic associations. Founder of ALPU (Latin American Association of Urban and Territorial Planners), IBU (Bolivian Institute of Urbanism), the Bolivian Journal of Urban and Territorial Studies (REUT-IBU), and the mARTadero Project. He speaks English and French, with participation in more than 30 research projects, 60 publications, and an active career in undergraduate and graduate teaching.
