
Agatha da Silva is a tenured professor and director of the Logistics Operations Center at UPB. She holds a PhD in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the University of La Sabana, Colombia. She has a Postgraduate Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a Master’s in Product Design Management from Bournemouth University, and a Master’s in Business Administration from UPB. She leads the research line "Educational Innovation in Logistics and Supply Chain Management" in the MIT SCALE Network. She is president of the alumni association of the MIT GCLOG program for the 2026–2027 term, and was elected vice president of the POMS LAC Chapter for the 2026–2028 term. In 2024, she received the Nada Sanders Emerging Economies Doctoral Dissertation Award for Latin America and the Caribbean.
