
Andrés Laguna-Tapia, Ph.D., is the director of the Research Center in Communication and Humanities and head of the Communication program at the Julio León Prado campus of UPB. He holds a doctorate and a master’s degree from the University of Barcelona and a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Letters from UCB, with studies at the University of Buenos Aires and the Free University of Brussels. He is a teaching and research professor specializing in political theory, aesthetics, and film studies. His career includes multiple awards, such as the National Journalism Award and the Eduardo Abaroa Award. He is the author of various international publications on film, literature, politics, and aesthetics.
