
Full Professor of Economics, Associate Researcher at the University of Oxford (OPHI), Fellow of the HCDA and the Global Labor Organisation. Full Member of the Bolivian Academy of Economic Sciences. At UPB, he served as Program Director, Director of the CIEE, and Dean of Research. Economist with a Master’s and PhD in Econometrics from the University of Geneva. He researches human development, poverty, and inequality. Author in top journals such as The Journal of Development Economics and World Development. His research has received awards, including the Queen’s Anniversary Prize 2020.
