
Cecilia Saldías Zambrana is a civil engineer specialized in sanitary engineering from the Universidad Mayor de San Simón. She has more than 10 years of experience in water resources management, water, and sanitation. She holds a PhD from Ghent University (Belgium) and a master's degree from Wageningen University (Netherlands), both in water management. Her research addresses the institutional challenges of wastewater reuse from a sociotechnical perspective. She has worked as a consultant with national and international organizations. She is a university professor and Head of the Civil Engineering program at UPB, Julio León Prado Campus. She researches sustainability, governance, and water security.
