
Alex Villazón holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Geneva (Switzerland). He completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at that university, earning an MSc in Computer Science. He has completed postdoctoral studies at the University of Innsbruck (Austria) and the University of Lugano (Switzerland). He is a Full Professor and Director of the CINTI Research Center. He has published more than 100 scientific articles and is one of Bolivia’s most highly cited researchers. He has won several Plurinational Awards for Science and Technology and is a co-author of the first technological patent in Bolivia. He is currently the National Dean of the School of Technological Development and Innovation (DTI).
