EMERITUS PROFESSOR Ramiro Escalera Vásquez holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Shizuoka and a Master’s degree in Sanitary Engineering from the University of Gunma, both in Japan. He has more than 42 years of professional experience: 20 years in industry and 22 years in academia as a research professor. He was Director of the Center for Research in Industrial Processes and Full Professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at UPB. He has published more than 40 scientific articles in national and international journals and conferences. His work has earned 10 awards from public and private national institutions. Since 2024, he has been an Emeritus Professor at UPB.
