Ariel Jiménez is a civil engineer by profession. He holds a master’s degree in structural engineering from the Military School of Engineering, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in construction engineering at San Francisco Xavier University of Chuquisaca (USFX). Additionally, he has completed specialization courses in railway infrastructure in South Korea, sponsored by the development cooperation agency KOICA. Among his main research interests are nonlinear structural analysis and the health monitoring of bridges and structures through the application of deep learning algorithms and machine learning.
