Luis Salinas San Martin is an Electromechanical Engineer graduated from UPB. He holds a Master’s degree in International Business from Florida International University, a Master’s degree in Electrical Sector Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Business from the University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom, and a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Glasgow, also in the United Kingdom. His interests include the planning of electric power systems, electricity markets and regulation, applied optimization for electric networks, renewable energy, digitalization, and cybersecurity of power systems. He is Head of the Electromechanical Engineering program at UPB.
