Juan Ramon Rivera is a Professor of Architecture and Urban Planning at UPB since 2018. He is an architect and doctoral candidate with a Master’s degree in Territorial Planning and Municipal Management. He specialized in urban planning and urban design. His more than 30 years of professional experience is mainly related to municipal management, urban development programs, architecture, project management, and construction. He has participated in the design and implementation of programs, public infrastructure projects, and municipal strengthening processes financed by the BM, BID, OPS, ONU-Hábitat, and other international organizations, as well as by the Autonomous Municipal Government of La Paz. He was partner and manager of the consulting firm Xperta srl. from 2000 to 2019. Between 2010 and 2018, he was a graduate and undergraduate professor at CEMLA and in the Architecture Department of the UCB. He is a member of the Bolivian Institute of Urbanism IBU and the Bolivian Studies Association AEB.
