Academic Model:
UPB's academic model is the Professional Performance-Based Academic Model. It was designed in response to the country's professional education needs identified by Bolivia's business community. It prepares professionals to respond quickly to the country's challenges in a globalized environment and organizes education across three dimensions: professional competencies, education for professional performance, and the teaching-learning process.

UPB's Quality Policy commits the institution to quality assurance and the continuous improvement of undergraduate and graduate education, research, and outreach processes, meeting stakeholder requirements, needs, and expectations through a Quality Management System based on ISO 9001:2015.
