Contactos Conócenos

Experimental study of concrete dosages

The dosages in the concretes that are used in our environment are very empirical and the methods that are considered have been developed for existing materials in other countries. In addition, the cement has undergone modifications in its composition and currently there is a great demand and shortages of this product. In this project, the aim is to obtain a procedure for dosing concretes based on experimental studies and not on empirical procedures that are not adequate for existing materials in the region.

Concretes have been prepared with the care of obtaining a pasty and workable material. Initially, concretes with small resistances have been experienced, after moderate resistances and finally with high resistances. Cylindrical 10 cm x 20 cm specimens have been prepared with these concretes, following normative procedures, and the simple compression tests of the specimens were performed at 7, 14 and 28 days. The methodology used is supported by a procedure carried out at the Institute of Technological Research of the University of São Paulo.
