The Ethics and Transparency Committee (CET) is an advisory body that monitors and regulates compliance with principles of ethics and transparency in UPB research.
It is made up of UPB researchers, with experience in various areas of knowledge.
The CET acts autonomously and independently in issuing its judgments and without academic, personal, or economic pressures or interests.

The fundamental role of the Ethics and Transparency Committee (CET) is to protect the rights, life, integrity, health, privacy, dignity, and well-being of the people who participate in or may be indirectly affected by the research projects carried out with the support of UPB, whether inside or outside its facilities with the participation of the institution's staff or external support; as well as ensuring the scientific validity of the projects evaluated by the CET.
Exceptionally and with the agreement of the Committee as a whole, the CET conducts evaluations of external research projects at the express request of the interested parties, based on the CET regulations.
