Biotechnology Research Center
Description
The Center for Biotechnology Research (CIBIO) aims to support companies and institutions in the local environment through applied biotechnology research, using molecular biology and bioinformatics tools in strategic development areas such as medicine, agriculture, agribusiness, and genetic resource conservation.
Research lines
Molecular adaptation to climate change: study of biological mechanisms in response to environmental stress such as droughts and floods.
Applied omics and meta-omics: bioinformatic and genomic analysis of associated biological processes.
Disease transmission: bioinformatic and genomic analysis of associated biological processes.
Biological data and environmental quality: research into the biotechnological potential of different organisms in the areas of health, agriculture, and environmental quality.
