The Julio León Prado campus of the UPB was the stage for the Olympic Stage of the STEM+ Cochabamba 2026 Olympics, a day that gathered the 50 qualified teams after overcoming the previous phases of the competition. Students, teachers, and tutors from different educational units participated in this gathering that promoted learning, creativity, and the application of knowledge to respond to environmental challenges.

Reaching this stage represented for the participants the result of a process marked by research, experimentation, and the development of ideas. During their journey in the STEM+ Olympics, the teams had the opportunity to propose projects, face challenges, and strengthen their proposals based on the learning obtained in each stage.

The Olympic Stage allowed students to take their ideas to a new level, putting into practice skills related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, as well as competencies such as critical thinking, problem-solving, collaborative work, and communication. Beyond the competition, the experience became a space to learn by doing and discover new ways to transform an idea into a proposal with potential impact.

Behind each of the 50 participating teams were hours of work, questions, testing, adjustments, and learning. The day allowed recognizing not only the performance of those who reached this stage, but also the commitment of teachers, tutors, and educational units that accompanied the students throughout the process and contributed to strengthening their interest in innovation and STEM fields.

Through initiatives like the STEM+ Olympics, the UPB promotes spaces that bring young people closer to science and technology from a practical and challenging perspective, fostering the development of new capacities and a culture of innovation. The experience lived in Cochabamba reaffirms the commitment of the UPB to an education that encourages curiosity, talent, and the creation of solutions for the challenges of the future.
