Students from the three UPB campuses gathered in Cochabamba to participate in the 2026 Intercampus Tournament, a fraternization experience that integrated sports and cultural competitions, strengthening ties within the university community through talent, camaraderie, and healthy competition.
The JLP Cochabamba campus was the setting for the UPB 2026 Intercampus Tournament, held from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30. Over three days, students from La Paz, Cochabamba, and Santa Cruz shared an experience that combined competition, talent, and a spirit of community.
The gathering included disciplines such as soccer, futsal, basketball, volleyball, padel, and ping pong, with both women's and men's teams. The event was complemented by co-ed cultural competitions in theater, folk dance, and musical dance, expanding the space for participation and allowing students to demonstrate their skills inside and outside the sports arena.
Each day was marked by the enthusiasm of the delegations and mutual support among peers, turning the Intercampus into a space to meet, represent each campus, and strengthen the bonds that unite the UPB community.
At the close of the competition, La Paz was crowned champion of the 2026 Intercampus Tournament, standing out, among other results, for its participation in men's soccer and musical dance.
Beyond the results, the Intercampus Tournament reaffirmed the value of creating experiences that complement university education and promote teamwork, artistic expression, sports, and the sense of belonging that connects students from the three campuses of the UPB.
