UPB, through EXEED —its Executive Education School oriented toward strengthening strategic leadership and top-management training—, held an Executive Breakfast in the cities of La Paz and Santa Cruz focused on the key economic outlook for business decision-making in 2026.

The meeting brought together leaders, executives, and professionals interested in understanding the current economic scenario and its implications for organizations, in a space designed to promote strategic analysis and the exchange of ideas between academia and the business sector.

The event featured the participation of Ph.D. Rómulo Chumacero, a renowned Latin American economist and academic reference in macroeconomics and applied econometrics. Chumacero holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Duke University, an M.A. from ILADES-Georgetown University, and has been Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Chile since 2007. In addition, he was Academic Director of the Master's and Doctoral programs in Economics at that university and has worked as a consultant for international organizations such as the IDB, UNDP and UNICEF, as well as for the Central Bank of Chile and the Central Bank of Ecuador.

During his presentation, the speaker addressed topics related to the regional macroeconomic context, the structural challenges of Latin America, and the importance of incorporating rigorous economic analysis into planning processes and strategic decision-making.
