
UPB took part in the inter-institutional meeting "Dialogue for Higher Education," an initiative that brought together public and private universities from the country with the goal of strengthening academic coordination, joint research, and the development of the national university system.
UPB was part of the interinstitutional meeting called "Dialogue for Higher Education", an initiative that brought together representatives of the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés and the country’s private universities with the purpose of promoting academic dialogue and building proposals aimed at strengthening the Bolivian university system. The space provided an opportunity to bring together diverse perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing higher education in the country.
Representing UPB, Vice Rector Alejandro Vargas Sánchez, Ph.D., CFA, participated, reaffirming the institutional commitment to evidence-based education, cooperation among academic institutions, and a future-oriented vision aimed at the sustainable development of Bolivia. His presence in this space reflects UPB’s vocation to actively contribute to the design of public policies in education and to the generation of knowledge relevant to the national and international environment.
The meeting addressed central themes such as strengthening academic coordination among universities, promoting joint research, and the collective development of proposals that make it possible to raise the quality of higher education. These issues reflect the urgency of combining institutional efforts to respond effectively to the transformations in today’s social, economic, and technological context.
At UPB, it was highlighted that collaborative work among institutions is a key tool for raising academic standards and projecting a higher education system that is more relevant, inclusive, and of higher quality. The institution reaffirms its willingness to actively participate in spaces for joint development that contribute to the country’s comprehensive development.
