UPB, in alliance with the Federation of Private Entrepreneurs of Cochabamba (FEPC) and the Chamber of Industry, Commerce and Services of Cochabamba (ICAM), launched the first Artificial Intelligence Business Census in Cochabamba, an unprecedented initiative in the region that seeks to generate strategic information on the level of adoption of artificial intelligence in the local business community. The project is positioned as a fundamental tool for mapping the future competitiveness of businesses in the region.

The census has three main objectives: to measure the extent to which companies from Cochabamba are currently using artificial intelligence in their processes; to identify the technical and operational barriers that limit its implementation; and to generate concrete roadmaps for a strategic and sustained adoption of this technology. Through these areas, the initiative aims to become a benchmark for business decision-making based on real and verifiable data.

The results of the census will make it possible to design intervention strategies adapted to the specific needs of the local productive environment, responding to the demands of a global market in constant technological transformation. The information obtained will also serve as a basis for promoting innovation and competitiveness policies from the academic, private, and institutional sectors of the region.

In this context, UPB emphasizes that artificial intelligence does not represent a threat to organizations, but rather a decisive competitive advantage in today's market: companies that integrate these tools into their operations will be in a position to outperform those that do not. With this initiative, the institution reaffirms its role as a generator of knowledge applied in service of the productive and social development of Cochabamba.
