The FIR La Paz Campus was the starting point of the second version of the UPB 2026 Honor Program, an initiative that brings together 34 outstanding students from La Paz, Cochabamba, and Santa Cruz, selected to participate in an experience oriented towards strengthening their education, leadership, and comprehensive development. The day began with welcome remarks from Oscar Molina, Ph.D., Rector of the UPB, who welcomed the participants at the beginning of this new academic journey.

As a first activity, students participated in the Low Ropes Workshop, led by Mgr. Denisse Estremadoyro, National Dean of Admissions and Student Affairs, and Mgr. Gustavo Molina, National Vice Dean of Graduate Admissions and Student Affairs. Through experiential dynamics, physical exercises, and spaces for reflection, participants faced different challenges designed to strengthen skills such as teamwork, effective communication, trust, resilience, decision-making, and leadership.

Activities linked to trust, problem-solving, cooperation, and active listening allowed students to put these skills into practice in situations that required coordination, strategy, and collective commitment. Each exercise was accompanied by moments of reflection aimed at transferring the learnings obtained to their academic, professional, and personal experiences.

The first day concluded with a business visit to ORKIDEA ANDINA, guided by Guillermo Pou Munt, founder and CEO of the company. This meeting allowed students to get closer to the business environment and complement the activities developed during the day with a learning experience linked to the professional field.

With this first meeting begins a journey that will connect students from the three campuses through new cities, challenges, and experiences. The UPB Honor Program seeks to create spaces that boost the comprehensive growth of outstanding students and strengthen capabilities needed to operate with leadership, judgment, and commitment in different contexts, reaffirming UPB's commitment to an academic education that transcends the classroom.
