The University of London
The prestigious University of London is the third oldest university in the United Kingdom, founded in 1836. It brings together 17 of the most renowned higher education institutions in the city of London: including King's College, Queen Mary, School of Oriental and African Studies, Birkbeck, UCL, and the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE), among others.
Their flexible and distance learning programs have been taught since 1858, and are highly recognized worldwide. Around the world, over 50,000 students participate in the program.

The London School of Economics and Political Science
LSE, part of the University of London, has the academic leadership of the distance learning program in Economics, Management, Finance, and Social Sciences (EMFSS). LSE teachers design courses, structure study guides, write, and correct program examinations.
According to the QS ranking, LSE is ranked second worldwide in social sciences in 2021, and has been since 2018. LSE has hosted and trained 18 recipients of the Nobel prize.
LSE is one of the world's most influential institutions in terms of research, policy design, and social and cultural impact.
The Rol of Universidad Privada Boliviana
UPB has adapted its academic contents to match those required by the London School of Economics for the undergraduate programmes of Economics, Business Administration, Commercial Engineering, and Financial Engineering.
In addition to teaching the contents designed by LSE, UPB provides administrative support, special tutorials, partial scholarships, and others. UPB makes an assessment of the student’s skills and knowledge in order to recommend or not the enrollement in the programme.
Since 2019, the Universidad Privada Boliviana is the first and only Recognized Teaching Center of the University of London in Bolivia. This means that the University of London and the London School of Economics recognizes UPB to teach their programs in Economics, Administration, Finance, and Social Sciences thanks to the high academic performance of its students and for the quality of its academic staff. This puts the UPB on par with other Recognized Teaching Centers such as the Singapore Institute of Management, the Higher School of Economics (Moscow), the Indian School of Business and Finance or Universidad del Pacífico (Lima).
UPB has had excellent academic results in the programme, graduating its first generation of “London” students in 2020. UPB has been congratulated on its excellent academic performance on numerous occasions by the Dean of the program at LSE.
